I erased a folder marked private and then ....nothing

Hi

I erased a folder marked private and then .... nothing

The folder was greyed out , I didn't recognise it, thought it was supicous I deleted it

No start up.

SO I turned to Target mode, took out the files I wanted to save.

Then erased the disc, and attempted to clean install from a DVD

Snow Leopard (white with a snow leopard image) nothing

thought I would try the 2 grey discs though they are 10.5.4

Now I can't even get the DVD out of the machine.

Macbook Pro 15" / 2.4ghz / 200GB 7200rpm / 4gb Ram /

was running 10.6.8

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have a Mac Pro 3ghz / 10 Gb ram / running 10.6.8

I used it fr the target mode
