Juse recently, when I ask Siri to call someone, he does so and that's fine. Any other requests, he (I'm in the UK) he will either dial a random number or say he cannot find that number. He won't answer a question, take a note or anything, just try to dial.
What can I do. i have an iPhone 6, less than a month old.

Yes, and interestingly Siri's voice has changed again recently. Until about a year ago his voice was a very pleasant, English, quite well-modulated voice, then suddenly he got higher, faster and more robotic! He is now deeper and slower again - I'm not sure whether this is the original voice or yet another.
Anyway, to return to the question; Yes, Siri is set to "English, UK"
As it happens, I have an appointment later this week with the Genius at the local Apple store - this is because my phone's screen has patchy shadows on it. I shall mention the Siri problem then - it could be that I will have my phone exchanged anyway, so I won't do anything as drastic as setting it up as a new phone right now. Thanks for the suggestions, obviously there is a real problem which needs to be sorted out.
You're welcome. Maybe you can try a device at the Apple Store and see how Siri works on that one. Maybe something in the settings is slightly off on your device. Does Siri understand things like "Turn Wi-Fi on", "Check Messages" or search for certain info using the internet?
One last try: Is Siri still enabled in Settings/General/Siri?

Did you make sure that your phone is connected to the internet using cellular data, if Wi-Fi is not available?
Yes, it is always connected to wi-fi if at home, or on the road it is connected to the internet, unless I lose signal. I always have the problem!
Since you're in the UK, is the language set to British English in Settings/General/Siri?
Did you try to switch to the female voice of Siri and see if "She" understands you?
Just tried that. Same result. Either I get "No match found" or else "she" dials some random number!
Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10 sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

Two more things: Ask him to switch Bluetooth on. If he does not doe that, there might be a problem recognizing the voice. Is the microphone covered by a case?
Right. I asked him to switch Bluetooth on. The reply I got was "no match found". And no, the microphone is not covered by a case.
