Q: iMessage don't send and receiver are "not registered"

On my MacBook Pro i have problems with the iMessage.

I did active with my Apple-ID Account and be connected without problems. But when i like to send a Message, i get the Error that the Receiver is no registered by iMessage.

Also i don't receive Messages on this MacBook.

It works on my iPhone5, iPhone4, iPad3, iMac in the office and iMac at home. But not on this MacBook.

It did work before till begin of January 2015.

In the Console i did find:

[Warning] Needs deletion: NO (Registration info (0x7ff63a7a8dc0): [Registered: NO] [Type: AppleID] [Device Name: (null)] [Service Type: iMessage] [Env: (null)] [Main ID: ....

What i can do ???

Did try to disconnect, also in my iPhone, reboot and so on, but all in vain

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

I'm using VM but I investigated device ID subject and this is not simple serial number - each device have GUID generated based on some serials, so virtual machine withe the same serial number as mac could have different device ID.

This could be checked by reverse engineered iMessage proxy (available somewhere on github). I would do that if I have free time.

I'am waiting till tomorrow (consultant said that this will take 2-3 business day last friday), and then I will start asking for exchanging my two weeks old macbook (replace after month of using with bad graphic card) for another new one. I will calculate how much time I spend on migrating data and put them complain with time * my hour cost refund request.

iServices are working fine on any other device. I'm not interested now if they have problem with some DB on servers or sth else - this is apple problem, not my. Parallels with their VM's are certified by apple product, so this also is apple<->parallels line problem.

I Have exactly the same problèm. I can send message from my iPad, iPhone beetwin Them, but from my MacBook pro, not. Like You it says the contact is not registred with iMessage . I called the Apple support. They connected on my mac book and they did not fnid the problème . They Said me that they Will send my problem to the engineer And i have to wait some days. They did a copy of my screen. My FaceTime do not work. When i try to call my iPad , it rings, but when i pick up the call, the connection stops. It's Crazy problem. My Mac is 1 month. I did a cléan install 3 times. I tryed to disconnect an connect iCloud in all my apple équipment but nothing. iMessage do not work on my mac book

Sometimes i think that some serial numbers are blocked by apple to use iMessages. All the problems are only when you use iMessage on more devices. I use it on 3 Mac's and one iPhone and one iPad. Before i did use it with the same Devices but only with one Mac and i had no Problem. Afterwards i use it on two new Mac's start the problems. I think i did read some weeks before that apple be working on the iMessage Server about the Problems of multiple Devices with one Apple-ID. Maybe they work on some restrictions what made sometimes problems. i hope they have solve it soon.

All my devices working well since the past Weekend.

Ok, I have got reply from support - they get more specific logs today from my messages.app with error to dig deeper.

They said, that problem is probably connected with parallels vm and in one of cases they have the solution was pram. Because in my case this doesn't help they will dig to the source.

I Do not Think that the problem come from the VM. As i Said , i do not have VM installéd on my MacBook And my iMessage do not work too. I did réad that some people who have the VM installéd imessage work with Maverick And VM but not with Yosemite VM, if it can hélps You. But i do not Think the VM is the réal problem. I do not have VM installéd And iMessage do not work. as hé said Loeschi, maybe Apple block thé serial number to use iMessage . WHy ? That is the question

Ok, yesterday stared working again handoff on iPhone - I can open webpages, mails etc. on iPhone from Macbook, but in reverse direction still not working (no hotspot, no handoff).

Calls transfer (from iPhone) is working again.

    SMS transfer started working today.

Still no success with iMessage, FaceTime and handoff from iPhone.

same problem w/ my macbook air,

upon upgrade to 10.10.2 iMessage and facetime have just stopped working, say's my contacts aren't registered with iMessage (when they are as I've been messaging from my iPhone), or that the message has been delivered, yet they never receive it.

two long phone calls with apple so far yet nothing has improved

said they are contacting an engineer about it and will ring tomorrow

    very annoying!!

They asked me some minutes ago to update my bug report with the debug information. I did. We will see. Something is moving, they are aware about this problem.

They must have a large collection of debug information by now. Hope they have coordinated a group to fix it.
