It needs to be SATA I compatible & under 2.2 TB to be bootable, 10.5.8 will handle the new bigger Advanced Format sectors...
Sorry, there was never a Dual 1.6, & no 1.6s in 2005, there were Dual 1.8s in 2004 though.
Any of these 2 TB or less should work in any G5 PowerMac...

It's just for the extra internal drive bay so I'm not bothered about it being bootable.
