Feb 3, 2016 8:27 PM in response to Lawrence Finchby Lake2shore,Many after market charging adapters don't have/meet the power requirements that Apple requires. You'll pay a little more but issues will be significantly less if you stick with Apple products, when it comes to anything electrict.

I came here looking for an answer because when my phone is charging CB radios within about 15 feet get only static until the squelch is turned up past usable. Something here is obviously causing large amounts of interference.

15 feet is amazing. I get interference when the distance is 3 inches, but not much beyond that. All USB adapters are switching power supplies and will generate some RF interference. But if you are sensing it more than a few inches away it's likely that the AC power source that you are plugging into is not properly grounded. You should get an electrician to check out your wiring.
