Does Final Cut Pro X have these features?

Hey guys. I am looking at buying Final Cut Pro X as an alternative to iMovie which seems to be quite restricting. Before buying I just wanted to make sure it has a couple of the core features I need;

-The ability to create Multiple video "Tracks" so that I can overlay different video clips (How many different tracks can I have stacked on top of one another?)

-Multiple (2 or more) Cut-to windows to able me to play & view 2 (or more) angles of an interview at the same time and choose which angle I want to cut to

-The ability to switch off the Magnetic style timeline so I can move & organise clips freely on the timeline without them sticking to one another

-The ability to Label Clips & be able to see those labels for organisations purposes

-Snapping: be able turn off the Magnetic timeline but still have clips snap to each other when they are in close proximity to one another.

Does anyone know if the above are available in FCPX?

many thanks

- NO - kind of but not really - take a class - watch some basic videos on you tube...

- YES - multicam is excellent

- YES - you can switch it off - but you probably won't when you get used to it - after about 5 days

- YES - very much so in the browser where it counts

- YES... I think.

Really go watch some basic entry level FCP X vids - the answers are all there. I recommend watching the latest from 2014 on YouTube. There are plenty.

the lack of tracks is probably the weirdest thing you will be forced to cope with if you invest in FCPX. You don't have a choice, you use Apple's way of doing things in this new video editor or you use Premiere or Avid or switch to a PC.

If you can get past the concept of this Apple-only storyline paradigm, I think you will enjoy using FCPX as much or more than any other NLE. But it's not easy.

Hi Russ. So do you mean (even without multi-tracks) it will be possible for me to compose/layer an image up in the timeline. EG; I want to start with a white background and layer logo graphics over the background to fade in and out at different times and places on the page. Please see the outro sequence of this video - this is what i need to be able to accomplish; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-er_as5YN3I
