Phill_Phan,

The link you sent me was about several iPhones that caught fire from being inside of peoples pockets, not from using a video cable.

By the logic that you say Apple is using to protect people from fire they should make the devices shutdown immediately and permanently so that people don't get burned whey they burst into flames from being in an insulated pocket; as it is obviously a common practice to carry an iPhone in a pocket.

Seriously, if the thermal sensor is not programmed to shut down the device when it overheats, the whoever is programming the IOS must not know what they are doing. Particually, if the iPhones are known to catch fire, burn, and injure people.

Disabling peoples video cables has nothing to do with iPhone fires, and is obviously a programming choice made by Apple as evidenced by the error message "we are turning off your video cable function sucker (or something to that effect)".

In conclusion, it is obvious that the video cables don't work because of Apples greed for money. And, that it has nothing what so ever to do with safety or fire.

Thanks,

C.Durham
