Im on a 2.6 Mac Pro running FCP 5.1.2. I downloaded the DVCPRO HD Frame Rate Coverted from Panasonic and its not showing up in the tools menu where it should be. I checked to see if it was in the right directory and it is. I also deleted and re-installed it multiple times. Is this an "intel" thing?? Does the plug in not work on these machines? I really need to get these clips converted. Can anyone help?
I faced a similar problem once.
It was bad plugins in my case.
I think it was the saphire plugins which were causing problems.(It could have been a bad install)
Once I removed them from my plugins folder the DVCPro FRC showed up just fine.
You could try that.
I've installed it while it was open and tried again while it was closed. I've also rebooted a few times. As for the "bad plugin" theory...how do I know which plugin is causing the conflict?? Also, is there just some alternative plugin or progam I could use to convert the frame rate?? The clips are shot in DVCPROHD-720p60 and I want to slow it down to 24fps. Thanks for the help!
Checked my "Universal" Install Discs that I upgraded to... there is a newer version of the Frame Rate Converter on the disc. The new version is 1.1.0 and works. The version that wouldn't show up is version 1.0
