Q: Can I reset my iPhone without the apple id?

I have an iPhone 4S that I bought several years ago. I connected the phone with the Apple ID I had at the time. I later changed my E-mail and got a new Apple ID. Now, my iPhone isn't working well and I want to try and reset the phone but it asks me for my old Apple ID. I deleted that E-mail account long ago. Is there any way to reset my phone?

You need to sign out with the old Apple ID first.

Click here and use Apple's iForgot service, or contact their Account Security team. If you're the iPhone's original owner, you can also take it and its purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store.

I can't sign out because it asks me for the password.

If your e-mail address (Apple ID username) has been changed and the phone does not know that but you still have access to that account follow:
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud - Apple Support
