I'm going to take a guess thats a call for help?

Millions will go about and do the update and never have a problem. Nor will they come here to say everything went Ok.

Sorry no issue connecting to iTunes on 8.1.3 on my 5S or ipad 3.

Same problem with both my iPhone 5 and iPad, both are now bricked and I'm not able to restore them through iTunes. I get an error code (4013) every time, and I've been trying for hours. Tried different cables, different USB ports, different computers ... Nothing is working.

I've resolved this issue by booting my MacBook Pro in Safe Mode ( hold down the Shift key right after hearing the start-up bell ).

That allowed me to do a Restore which just wasn't working after several attempts prior to rebooting in Safe mode.
