Air is dead after migrating from Macbook Pro Maverick via time machine

I backed up my Macbook Pro on Time Machine. I then used setup assistant on new Macbook Air. Everything went great with transfer, but upon restart, I get slight light on screen, but no apple, icon, and resetting of any form does not work. No sound. Help!

MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014), iOS 8.1.2

That's annoying. What resets have you attempted?

Did you do everything in this Apple Support document?

Tried all resets I could find and nothing has an effect. Talked with Apple support and their reset didn't help. So, I have an appointment to take it to see a Genius. Haven't lost data, just can't use my new device.
