Q: Print video cell

Is it possible to print a single cell of a video?  I have trimmed the video down to one cell but cannot figure out if I can print it or not. Please help.

Thanks very much.

I'm assuming you're on your Mac with iPhoto, correct?  If so play the video with Quicktime player and pause at the frame you want to print. Make a screen capture of the frame ( OS X: Keyboard shortcuts - Apple Support) .  You can either import that screenshot into iPhoto to print or open it with Preview and print. iPhoto will give you more print size options.  Remember the resolution of the screenshot will only be at 72 dpi so print quality will be limited.

Instead of a screenshot you could also play your video in QuickTime, as Old Toad suggested, and go to the frame you want.

Then use the command ⌘C  to copy the still frame to your clipboard.  Now launch Preview and use the command ⌘N for File > New from clipboard.

That will save the copied video still frame to a new photo.  You can print it directly from Preview with "File > Print", or import it as a photo to iPhoto.

Thank you so very much, Old Toad!  You saved my day as these were "pictures" of an event that will not happen again.

Thank you very much leonie.  Your response worked perfectly (as did Old Toad's).  I really appreciate your time and response as this "photo" was a once in a lifetime event.

I hope the picture turned out great!

Have you used any adjustments on the photo? A screenshot from a video could probably profit from a little adjustments in iPhoto, for example the "Sharpness" slider in iPhoto's Adjustment" panel.

Thanks for the additional info.  I will try that on the one  that was not as clear as all the others.  I appreciate your time!

Then try the "Definition" slider as well.
