Q: iPhone 6 intermittent low bluetooth volume

iPhone 6 64GB, iOS 8.1.2

On occasion, while driving in my car listening to music stream from the phone, volume suddenly drops ~50% for no apparent reason.

No new notification, no incoming call, nothing.

Turning off bluetooth and back on does not solve the issue.

Volume either comes back to normal after a while for no apparent reason either or if I get a new notification (SMS, email, app notification, etc...)

Tried unpairing/re-pairing phone with car, resetting network settings to no avail.

What's going on?

Have tried all of this before to no avail.

Having gone through these forums searching for an answer, I can see this is a well documented problem that needs to be addressed by Apple.
Here's to hoping they will look into it and provide a fix soon!

Same sort of issue for me.

IPad Mini R
connected to my HU by lightning.
Randomly drops volume, like you say, it's like when you get a notification.

Only way iv found to clear the issue is by quitting all music apps (double tap home button and slide up) and opening again. then the volume goes back to normal. Very annoying!
