DTP in Pages

Just interested: can Pages act a bit as a DTP program. I.e. make simple magazines, print A3, make spreads, use pictures that are wider than one page? I make a simple magazine for our club, way too simple for InDesign or QuarkXpress.
Thanks for your help.

To be clear, however, Pages isn't really set up to do things like spread a single graphic across two pages. It is great for basic layout tasks, and I use it all the time to lay out professional documents, but you may find some aspects of it a bit limiting if you want to do a full magazine-style publication.

(Then again, any application that would do better than Pages costs about ten times as much...)
