I can not get the phone to update the OS? I tried different wifi points, and still no luck. I tried this at least 6 times with the same result. It looks to download, and then says it is 'preparing' for a while, and then it pukes out the message "Software Update Failed An error occurred downloading iOS 8.1.3". Anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks!

Try updating while connected to iTunes on the computer you normally sync with. If that doesn't work see this Apple support page:

I am having the same issue.
I have tried to download whilst connected to iTunes and that doesn't work either. I can't even back up my phone it keeps saying its been disconnected? Although i can see it in iTunes still connected.

For me it was very "finicky", but I did get the OS to update after numerous tries. In the end I initiated the OS update from ITunes and NOT from the phone. Every time I used the phone to update it failed. I was about to wipe the phone, and then it finally took the OS update.
