Q: Settings > iCloud > Documents & Data option not appearing on iPad

Hi,

I was playing Final Fantasy Tactics on my iPhone (4S; iOS version 8.13) and noticed that you could upload game saves to the iCloud and then resume those saves on other devices.

So I loaded up my iPad (Air; iOS version 8.13) and went to the options in game to grab the saves from the iCloud. It told me that I need to make sure that I have an internet connection; I am signed into iCloud and that "The Documents & Data option under Settings  > iCloud must be toggled to On."

When I closed out of the game and went to the Settings app > iCloud, there was no Documents & Data option at all.

I fulfill the other two requirements of the save file upload and download from the iCloud but that part I cannot fulfill for some reason.

I've rebooted my iPad and that didn't work. I updated it from the previous iOS version to the latest and that still didn't fix the problem.

I use the Documents & Data option on my iPhone to upload data to the iCloud and that data would be very useful on my iPad. so I would like this issue to be resolved not only for the game's sake.

Any help would be appreciated.

Once you turn on iCloud Drive it replaces Documents & Data. Once it has been enabled there is no going back.

Once you enable it on one of your devices you should enable it on all of them.

iCloud Drive FAQ - Apple Support

After I upgrade to iCloud Drive, can I downgrade and go back to using Documents in the Cloud?

No, after you upgrade to iCloud Drive, you can't go back to using Documents in the Cloud. You can turn off iCloud Drive in iOS 8 by going to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive. You can turn off iCloud Drive on your Mac by going to Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud and deselecting iCloud Drive. If you turn off iCloud Drive, your documents and data will no longer be kept up to date across all of your devices.
