Access iTunes on an external hard-drive after MacBook Pro Hard drive replaced.
I have a Mac Book Pro and I had the hard drive replaced. I have a rather large iTunes account (music, movies, playlists, etc). I previously used my external hard drive to house my whole account. Is there a way to access it from my "new" MacBook Pro?
I have looked in the ASC for a forum on this subject and found lots of solutions for a PC, that do not apply to me.
In Summary:
1. I have iTunes 12.0.2.6
2. My software is OS X YOSEMITE 10.10.2
3. I have tried pressing [OPTION] while I open iTunes and selected iTunes on my external and I tried selecting the iTunes Media folder within iTunes folder on my external
4. I have gone to iTunes/Preferences/Advanced to make sure that my Media file is (/Volumes/Crystal's Passport/iTunes/iTunes Media)
5. All of my contents are inside the iTunes Media Folder (which is inside iTunes folder): Music, Movies, Tones, iPod Games, Mobile Applications, Home Movies, Movies (purchased/accessed through iTunes Store), Voice Memos, Downloads, and Automatically Add to iTunes.
I would rather not recreate my playlists etc.
*My external hard drive is only half-occupied.
Please HELP!
