Now my HD reads as rob-cork's-imac-2. Causing problems! how do I reset this?!
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2 GB RAM. 1-250GB, 3-500 GB, 1-1 T LaCe external HDs, 16 G iPod
System Preferences/Sharing is where you can change the name.
Now my HD reads as rob-cork's-imac-2. Causing problems! how do I reset this?!
Finder -> Go -> Computer
you should see your disk listed
Single click on the disk name. It should turn into an edit box. Enter the disk name you desire.
Click outside the name to close the edit box
