I am rather new to Mac but I would consider myself an intelligent person, but I cannot figure out why every time I need to download something with the help of Transmission I find myself downloading it again and reinstalling it.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
Have you installed the application to your Applications folder?
Applications need to be installed, otherwise you may just be running them from inside a 'disk image' these are containers that look like disks, but they are ejected when you reboot.

Sorry, but I can't look at the site you linked to as I don't expose my machines to torrent sites.
You should take a look, if you like artists that are still alive you might find they are putting out stuff for free.
You do not seem to understand that Moby is giving away his art on the bitorrent network as is Thom Yorke, De la Soul, Madonna, Eddie Izzard & Lee Scratch Perry many other respected artists.
Moby is also giving away stem files to allow people to create their own mixes too.
Bitorrent is not a crime - stealing music is.
Stop being so judgemental, bitorrent has legal uses, as did this…
May I ask what you need this for? You can download applications, music, etc. quite well without its 'help'.

The program "Transmission" keeps uninstalling itself (or so I think it is) and I keep having to reinstall...any idea what it could be?
