Honda Civic and bluetooth ALWAYS plays music

I can connect via bluetooth fine. I can make calls. I can receive calls. Maps works all is fine EXCEPT that it decides that it wants to play my music ALWAYS.

I tell siri to pause the music. It pauses. Then it comes back. The crazy thing is that the Music app isn't even open. It just plays as if it is looking for playable files and just plays them as soon as I start my car.

I have a 2014 Civic and an iPhone 6 Plus.

Apple have been no help, and how do you contact Honda!

I rang my dealer and he had no clue.

It's driving me berserk. Used to work find on my iPhone 5s

It is not your phone, it is the Civic Bluetooth programming. It is programmed to start the music player once it is connected. Even if you pause the player, it will start again any time you use a voice command. The solution is to turn the audio off in the car it will not play any music but will maintain the Bluetooth connection so you can continue to make voice calls and use all other voice commands. It will even stream music from another source such as Spotify.
