Hello Brenden
I have just answered you quite harsh I think.
But your answer doesn't help me at all.
I bought ARD on a disc some years ago. Now I want to use it again, and the whole installation process is so time consuming.
First of all: You can't install the old ARD on your Yosemite Mac!
I did all kind of tricks, suggested by other people in the same situation, to get the newest version - I think ARD 3.7.2 - on my desktop but somehow I started App Store at the same time.
So trying to install version 3.7.2 while downloading and installing 3.8 left me with a corrupt installation.
Finally I managed to get 3.7.2 working, so now I just have to remove the receipt that AppStore planted in my system when I downloaded ARD 3.8 the first time, a receipt that indicates that ARD 3.8 is on my system, which it is not.
I know this sounds complicated, but that's just how working with computers are! Right?
So can you try help me right this time, and don't throw an article about apps on iPhones and starting iTunes and all that at me!
Then I will be very happy!
