Q: iMessage not working on MacBook Air

Recently, my image is not signing in to my account. I input my account information and I see the "downloading circle" and that's where it stays. I also upgraded to Yosemite, and restarted and deleted my entire computer to factory settings, and it is still not working. Any advice on how to fix this problem?

MacBook Air (11-inch Late 2010), iOS 8.1.3, Yosemite installed
