Apple ID pw works for eveything except iCloud, which rejects it.

Cannot access iCloud from iPhone and iPad. It rejects my Apple ID password, which works for everything else Apple. Tried some of my frequently used passwords, none work. How do I back door iCloud to change its password?

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1.2

Hi TerryMaloney,

Are you already signed into iCloud on those devices, or are you trying to sign in for the first time?

If they're already signed in but are not accepting your password, this sounds like you might have two different Apple accounts -- one that was formerly using the email address you currently use with your new account (I know, it sounds confusing). If this is the case, then you may actually be signed into a different iCloud account than you think you are. Try these steps:

If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud - Apple Support

If you're trying to sign into iCloud for the first time, and the Apple ID and password aren't being accepted try signing in at myappleid.com on one of those devices to make sure you have the correct email and password.
