Forgot my Passcode

I forgot my passcode. I've tried all of these methods, but whenever it seems to be working, it just stops all of a sudden. Any advice?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.3

I did that. When I click restore iPhone, a loading bar pops up, and then another window pops up, asking if I'm sure if I want to factory reset it. I click restore and update, and then it goes back to the screen I started with. Could it be because it updated and then wants me to put a passcode in?

iTunes

If you've synced your device with iTunes, you can restore your device.

Connect the device to the computer you normally sync with.
Open iTunes. If iTunes asks you to enter your passcode or asks you to allow access, try another computer that you've synced with. Or use recovery mode. (Click the link to be taken to the steps.)
iTunes will automatically sync your device and create a backup. If it doesn't, sync the device with iTunes.
After the sync is complete, restore your device.
When iOS Setup Assistant asks to set up your device, choose "Restore from iTunes backup."
Select your device in iTunes and choose the most recent backup.

Okay, so I'm now sitting outside of the library at 9 o'clock at night. Apparently I needed to be hooked up to some good internet? Anyways, I really appreciate the help! (P.S. It says it needs 5 hours? I like spending time at the library but dangggg...)
