"You can use both versions simultaneously and they do not interfere.
But before you trash Garageband 6.0.5, make a backup, so you can restore it,if you notice, that you want to use the features, that no longer work in GarageBand 10. The most space is used by the loops and instruments, and you will not want to uninstall the loops and instruments, because they can be used by the new GarageBand."
léonie I am intrigued.
Could you please elaborate?
What, (and where) are all the v6.0.5-related files needed to back-up before I upgrade my OS from 10.8.5 to Yosemite (and hence the newest GB 10/11) ?
Is this covered in a FAQ somewhere? or in an article on the internet somewhere?
Sincerely, Craig
