Q: ARD not saving preferences

Installed latest version of ARD Admin on my machine. It was constantly hanging during startup.  I deleted the application and followed this KB article:

Uninstall or disable Apple Remote Desktop - Apple Support

Reinstalled and then started ARD admin.  It now does not save any preferences.  On top of that every time I quit and restart ARD goes through its entire first time use screens and remembers nothing about the previous run.  None of the computers added are remembered, none of the preference settings are remembered. 

I have repaired permissions, run this numerous times.

This update has made ARD useless.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
