I just upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 and want to create an iCloud drive in System Preferances. I used my Apple ID which is the same one I used to login in here, in the iTunes store, the App store, etc, and get "Your Apple ID or password was incorrect.gen
This is a 1st gen unibody MBP (late 2008) 15 inch 10.10.2 8 gigs ram.

If you are getting an error message that your Apple ID or password is incorrect when attempting to create an iClou8d account, I would suggest you use the steps in this article to change your password -
Apple ID: Changing your password - Apple Support
I do understand that your Apple ID is working correctly for other applications. Changing it should force a refresh of the system.

Does your ID take the form of an email address? or is it one of the old ones which could be just a name? If the latter you will have to change it to an email address at http://appleid.apple.com
