can't get rid of my windows 8 partition

I install Windows 8 with OS Mavericks (currently has Yosemite). My hard drive has 320Gb and is running low on memory. Now that I need my 20gb from the Windows 8 partition I can't find a way to get that space back onto my main hard drive.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Go to utilities and repair permissions. If that does not work restart holding down option r or just option to see if you have a yosemite restore partition. If you do run restore. If you can you should back up your drive first. If this doesn't work or you have no restore partition. try this.http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203176 If non of this works you will have to do a clean instal os Yosemite. You should be able to start up using command R to do this.
