When I sign into iTunes on my Macbook Pro it asks for my password repeatedly. In fact, it asks five times in a row. Each time I enter my password and after the fifth time all is fine and I can start using iTunes. This is the latest version 12.1.0.50 however, it was happening with the previous version as well. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this? Thank you.

I've been having the same issue. Seems like it started a year ago. Exasperating. I don't see that the suggested article applies to me. So I just decided to sign out (inside of iTunes). I then quit iTunes and then relaunced it. I can still play my purchased songs. So I'm going to give this workaround a try and see what happens.
