Using these steps they may fix error 1671 on iDevice. The steps are mentioned below:
1. You have to reset the system.
2. For this you have to press the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time till Apple logo appears on the screen.
3. If Slide to power off text appears on the screen, then just ignore it. In this way you can reset the device.
4. If you are still getting the error then in that case you have to restore the data.
5. With the help of cable connect the device with your computer, which you want to sync.
6. Then iTunes will automatically guide you, how to restore the data to your device.
7. Select on Yes to backup the data.
8. Then the restoring process starts and it may take long time, may be more than an hour.
9. After the restoring is complete, it will ask you whether you want to backup to be copied on your device, and then click on Yes.
10. Use RecoveryTool.
Checking the error codes, it does not appear on the list, but the closest one to it shows a hardware issue. Check this support document. Resolve iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support
Hi I would Restore back to Factory Settings use same apple ID & password Cheers Brian If you still have a problem make an Appointment at Apple Store. Cheers Brian
I have the exact same error, and I cannot restore it!!!
Tried several times :-(
If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, read this.
Tried this to no avail. Is there any other solution?
I turned my anti virus off, then allowed the update to download to itunes fully then ran the restore while in recovery and this did it for me. I am now on ios 8.4
Disable the Antivirus, try updating. it should work. i have faced the same issue & rectified. 🙂
i do it twice but i failed to recover it, it appears same logo i tunes and there is a cable icon ..i receive messages error code 1671.. when i update and restore it appears same procedure.. thanks..
i have an iPhone 6 and tried to download IOS 9. The download failed because of insufficient battery. I have reset but that did not clear the issue. I have tried to complete the download by connecting to iTunes via USB but get error 1671. I have also tried to restor the phone but still get error 1671. The phone will not switch off - it just shows connect to ITunes on the home screen. Please help.
The same thing happened to me. I kept tying to update and couldn't restart my phone. I plugged it in to iTunes because that's the only screen that would come up on my iphone6. I tried to update several times and kept getting error 1671. I updated iTunes, and made sure my computer was up to date and restarted the computer. I tried again and it didn't work. I finally disabled my computer's security ( Trend Micro Security) and it updated!! Good Luck! Hope this helps!
Hi Dannie, i having the same problem. How to disable computer's security? Please help.

That is going to depend on the type of anti-virus and or firewall that you have. You need to check the documentation for your particular software and follow the instructions there. Most are not that difficult. If you use the standard Windows setup of Windows Firewall and Windows Defender, you can access them in Control Panel.
This worked for me! I was restarting and updating everything i could for hours. Even tried restoring through my friends mac (i have a windows laptop) and once i disabled me Avast! antivirus it restored straight away!
Using the two-button reset in any situation where you can still use the phone is ill advised. The firmware and system boot program require the device to shut down properly. It can actually cause software and hardware damage if you do it too often. Settings > general >restore> restore all settings is much more efficient.
