Database for Keynote slides with keywords and send to Keynote?

I have hundreds of Keynote slides in different categories, which I often need to mix-and-match into presentations. I want to be able to have a database of slides, each associated with one or more keywords, so that I can find what I need, edit it (send it to) Keynote, and then group a bunch of them into a Keynote file. What might be a good way to do that?

I am happy to see that at least one other guy on our planet has the same demand. I am in the same situation as Michael L. It would be SOOO useful to have in Keynotes a possibility to set keywords associated with the slides, so that one could instantly get the collection of those which match the request. I am actually desperately in search of such a tool...
