ios 8.1.3 updates

iOS updates requires much time and several restarts. If I don't turn off my passcode and I must sit there throughout the update process or run the risk of not restoring my personal setup correctly after the update, Since I would like to do this unattended, I turn off my passcode. As a result, I lose my Apple Pay cards and have to re-establish them after the update is completed. Any easier way?

Rebooting and force quit are work arounds to clear a problem - they are not solutions to the bug itself.

Anyone having a problem after or during an update - even if you follow work around instructions - should report that problem as a bug to apple.

If you get a crash report - send to apple with what you were doing at the time.

A program can have a bug in it for years through multiple releases simply because those who had it are bullied into not reporting it by those who don't . The bug is caught when a user goes down the path that triggers it.
