You do not have enough memory installed:

2 GB RAM

33.45 GB Page-outs

Yosemite's specs give 4 GB as the minimum required.

I recommend you upgrade to 6 GB of memory at Crucial.com or otherworldcomputing.com. Both are highly respected suppliers of Mac memory and have excellent customer support.

Although Apple only lists 4 GB as the limit Crucial has tested it up to 6 GB and guarantees that limit.

OS X 10.7.5 is Lion, not Yosemite. Lion minimum RAM requirement is 2GB.

Still, I do agree that more RAM could improve system performance some.

I'm also concerned about (Macintosh HD) boot drive free space.

37GB free is getting quite low. Low hard drive space can also cause a system to become sluggish, as can unrepaired hard drive errors, op a hard drive in the early stages of failure. I hope the external hard drive is being used as a backup drive for critical files, since Time Machine is not shown as configured.

Opps. Missed that Lion. So used to Yosemite questions. As for the 37 GB free space it should be more than enough unless the user is using apps that require considerable amount of scratch space like iDVD, Photoshop. etc. at the same time. I recommend 15 GB as the lower limit for general.

With iMacs it's easier to maintain the higher level of free space because one can always have an external HD to keep larger space users like iPhoto and iTunes libraries on. With portables it's a bit more difficult.

However, in the OP's case the 2 GB is obviously not sufficient as reflected in the 33.45 GB of Page-outs.
