I need to install boot camp on mac with OS X 10.10.2. Do i need to defrag my hard drive to be able to partition the drive?

I want to install boot camp on IMAC with OS X 10.10.2. I have been using the computer for years, sometimes with a nearly full hard drive, but now with the drive only half full would like to partition it so that I can use boot camp and windows. Will I need to defragment the hard drive? Is there an application to defrag the drive reliably?

iMac (24-inch Early 2009), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
