I seem to remember being able to download updates and even some of the full OS's for some of the older stuff like System 7.5. It seems info.apple.com is completely gone, and the ftp site is gone as well :-( Did they just move it and im not finding it?

You remember correctly. The old archived download site was:

However, starting about two years ago, that link now redirects to the fairly useless support home page. I cannot find a way to get to the old lists of software downloads. I can only assume that Apple doe not want us going there any more.

An old asu.info.apple.com page is mentioned in the article http://support.apple.com/kb/TA22559, but the link goes elsewhere (the only way to find out anything seems to be via an Internet archive search). It is unfortunate that system software etc for early Macintosh computers cannot be found through the Apple support site any more.
