Boot Camp Win 7 crashes if external Thunderbolt Raid drive is attached

I successfully installed Boot Camp and Win 7 Home premium (service pack 1 and other 'important updates' applied) on my iMac.

My problem is that if I attach my external Thunderbolt 6 Tb drive I am having a blue screen Cache crash error just after getting to the desktop on start up into Win 7. I understand you can't put Boot Camp onto a Raid disk, and that with Win 7 Thunderbolt drives are not hot swappable but should mount on start up.

The drive is a WD My book thunderbolt Duo which has 2 x 3 Tb drives in the box. I configured it so each drive was partitioned as 2.75 and 0.25 Tb, then striped them to make one 0.5 Tb and one 5.5 Tb drive. This works well with OS X.

Does Boot Camp not support external stripped drives?

Thanks

Tony
