I just got a new iMac (Late 2013). I have had it for less than two weeks and I have already changed the batteries for the wireless keyboard twice. What's wrong?!
iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
Battery life is a function of usage. If I were you, I would buy rechargeable batteries and a 15 minute charger.

Thanks for your suggestion. But I am hardly using them 24/7. Actually the iMac was turned off for most of the week and when I just came into the office I got a message to replace the keyboard batteries again after just one week of putting new ones.
do you turn your keyboard off when you switch imac off? I had this feeling at the beginning but somehow the batteries last longer now.
