Does the battery get damaged if my macbook's power adapter is always connected?

I was wandering about the battery life of my new macbook pro. If when i'm at home i always connect the macbook to the power adapter, does it affect the battery?

Possible.

You have to run the MacBook Pro on battery once in a while to keep the battery in good condition.

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always plugged in, make sure that at least twice a month

run it on battery until battery level drops to about 50-40%.
