All My Songs Show Up in Itunes But Not On My Ipod

I had someone lean on my ipod while it was connected to my laptop/itunes. I later went back to play a track from the ipod via itunes and several ⚠ errors came up on the left side of the song(s). Ive reset my ipod, reconnected it several times, when its connected to the itunes it still shows all my music on the ipod but on the ipod itself it shows no music. Can anyone help me, I really dont want to lose years worth of music.

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost Done

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Unsync/delete all music and resync

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I'm having a similar issue. All the songs on my iPhone disappeared, except the ones I purchased through iTunes. I can see all those songs listed under "On My Device" in iTunes, but they are not on my iPhone anymore. I've tried everything and nothing works. I have to manually manage my music because I have a iPod that Is larger than my iPhone, so my music library is too large to automatically sync with this phone. This sooooo very frustrating. It looks like you and others have had similar issues, I just wonder if you ever found a solution that solved this frustration. I have more and more issues with my Apple devices with each and every new release.
