Siberia v2 Mic headphone adapter not working after restore Macbook Air

So i restored my macbook air a couple of weeks ago and i have backed up all items and documents from before. And before i had restored my mac i had a Siberia V2 Headphone+mic adapter because there is just 1 headphone jack, it worked perfectly but now it doesn't work, only the sound out is working and i've tried to turn the mic on but it still doesn't work. The only option for microphone in settings is the default microphone in the mac. My Macbook air is from mid 2012.

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), School computer

It's been some time because I contacted steelseries support because there was no problem with the adapter, there is something wrong with the current OS (Latest Yosemite by 4th April 2015) and the person that helped me said that he would keep researching on why it was not working on this OS, his last answer was about a week ago*. I tried to use the command "Sudo Killall coreaudio" and it worked once, then I tried to restart my mac and used the command again and that worked once but everytime I unplugged the microphone and plug it back in it began to recognize it as a pair of headphones.
