Magic mouse and Mac Mini 2009

Hi all,

I recently got a used Magic Mouse from a friend (he has a new one from his new iMac) and I am trying to connect it to my Mac Mini 2009 (early)

If I am correct the Magic Mouse needs a Minimum of Bluetooth 2.1. According to my mac specs I do have 2.1 Bluetooth.

But somehow my mac mini is not even finding the mouse, even when put into discovery mode.

Does anybody here have any ideas? Is it even compatible?

Yes it should work. I had one with my late 2009 Mini.

Does the light on the mouse work, blink when trying to connect?
