Q: Application: Director of Communications & Marketing

Hi, Community!

We're trying to submit our application for iTunes U. Our first application was rejected for the following reason:

Thank you for submitting your recent application to become an iTunes U content provider. Based on the iTunes U requirements for inclusion, we are unable to accept your application at this time.

An individual with the authority to sign legally binding documents on behalf of your institution must complete the iTunes U enrollment form. This is typically someone who holds one of the official job titles below. Association with your school and job title is subject to verification.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

President

Vice President

Controller/Comptroller

Director (Technology)

Director (Curriculum)

Director (Purchasing)

Manager (Accounts Payable)

Manager (Business)

Manager (Finance)

Manager (Information Technology)

Manager (Instructional Technology)

Manager (Operations)

Manager (Purchasing)

Principal

Assistant Principal

Vice Principal

Headmaster

Superintendent

Acting Superintendent

Treasurer

I encourage you to have someone from your school with one of the titles above submit a new iTunes U enrollment application.

My question is: Will the "Director of Communications and Marketing" at our university be allowed to submit the application, since his title does not conform to any of the above ones?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

It states "An individual with the authority to sign legally binding documents on behalf of your institution", so as long as the director of C&M has this autority, he can submit it, the app should not be rejected.

Yes, the Director of C&M has the authority, I'm just afraid that Apple might reject the application if the person's title does not appear on their list. What do you think, is there a danger of that happening?

Normally, this list serves only as an exemple. If they refuse again, you'll need to contact them directly.
