Facetime 'quits unexpectedly' when I try and open it?

This is what appears when I try and access FaceTime, does anyone have any answers as to how I can fix this. I was told by some working at Apple that I should delete the plist file and then restart my computer however it made no difference so I 'put back' the file from my trash but it still won't work. PLEASE HELP ME!

Restart the computer in safe mode. Certain caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.

Safe mode is much slower to start up than normal. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.

When the login screen appears, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.

This Also happens to me when I try to use FaceTime with another Apple user. I have OS X in stalled the latest

El Capatan upgrade. I do hear the Audio but when I click on the Video Camera that seems to be what

caused FaceTime to Quit Unexpectedly. I am using the IMAC and I tried connecting to my IPOD TOUCH which

also has the Latest Version, although the IPOD Touch would be on my WiFI network I can hear the "Ringing" like its

waiting for me to Click on Accept, and when I do see the call come through on the IMAC it Quits before I can

do anything.

The folks at Apple must have a Fix or a Workaround for this problem.. I wonder who else experiences this problem...Ron

Facetime 'quits unexpectedly' when I try and open it?
