I have just installed this update on my MacBook Pro - 2010 and from the restart the fans are running at the highest setting. Nothing I do will fix the problem - the noise is hugely distracting! My MBP has the high def monitor - which I guess preceded retina display. I notice there's a fix for the newer MBP retina display units to solve a fan issue. Could this be in any way related to my machine problem? Installed Yosemite 10.10.2

{Did you really install the Admin version of Apple Remote Desktop, not the client update?
The client is just an update to an existing part of the user side of remote desktop, not admin.}
•Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Apple Support
To reset the SMC and check the activity monitor utility to see what is using up resources
can help in most instances. Unless there is some undetermined issue in hardware, etc.
Good luck & happy computing!
