Take screenshot of zoomed screen OS 10.7

I upgraded to 10.7.5 from 10.6.8 a month ago and am still trying to recover from all the little changes :-(

In 10.6.8, I could use the Universal Access controls (cmd-opt-=) to zoom in to a part of the screen and then use cmd-shift-3 to take a screenshot. The image saved would be of the zoomed screen. If I use the same method in 10.7.5 the saved image is the entire screen rather than the section I zoomed into.

I've tried using the different screen capture commands but can only get the whole screen rather than only the part I zoomed in to. I've also tried the Grab utility without success.

Is there a secret to getting a screenshot of just the zoomed screen rather than the whole thing?

I have a Mac Mini 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 3 GB of RAM.
