How do I update a early 2008 IMAC from v10.6.8 to mountain lion (downloaded version from apple store)? Any special advice before I make the attempt?
iMac (20-inch Early 2008), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
1. Double-click the installer and follow the onscreen directions.
2. Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility.

Just barely arrived in my email, I did not know what to expect when not using discs. The two applications we really care about photo shop c6 and MS office are supposedly compatible.
