Q: Clearing space from my computer

I want to delete specific file types to make space on my computer. For example like specifically deleting songs or movies?

You can search like that in Spotlight. Just press COMMAND-F in the Finder to open the Spotlight search toolbar. Note the context menu for the Kind option in the dropdown menu.

You can add many other search criteria as follows:

Get Spotlight to search criteria (and more)

    1. Enter the search term in the Finder window's search field.
    2. Click the [+] button in the search bar to add a search option.
    3. In the first drop down menu choose Other.
    4. Choose “your criteria” from the list that pops up (and check the box to place in drop down menu to avoid this step later,) click on the OK button.

You will now find your selected search criteria will appear in the dropdown menu.
