Printer isn't printing!!!

I have a Mac desktop and for the longest time my Canon laser printer (imageClass MF4370dn) has been printing perfectly. Recently, I updated the software of my desktop (OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2) as well as change the toner for my printer and ever since I could not print anything! I am still able to scan and photocopy documents but as soon as I click print nothing comes out. I unplugged the printer via the USB cable and reset the printer and the computer, I also reset the printing system several times. I seemed to have tried everything! When I click print, the print queue says "Sending data to printer" then after a few seconds the message disappears and nothing is printed. Can anyone please help me fix my printer!!!
