I am getting this issue frequently and it is unpredictable because it come and go any time. I know how it started but i donot have clear solution yet. i was surfing net on my iphone and http://adultcameras.info was hyperlinked. I think all my History got sync by icloud and it started happening in my mac as well.

I disable the safari setting on iphone/icloud for saving myself from future attacks. I called Apple support and the clear safari cache/cookies and requested me to reboot the system/monitor if this help.

this solution i received today and after clearing both, i havent had chance to check if same thing is happening. I will let you know what ever is outcome.

~/Library/Cookies

1. Force Quit .

Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.

When Force Quit window appears, select Safari if not already.

Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.

Safari will quit.

2. Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

3. Turn off wifi and turn it back on.

Turn off Wifi. Click Wifi icon in the menu bar and select “Turn Wifi off”.

Visit another website.

You won’t have internet connection.

Turn on Wifi. Click Wifi icon in the menu bar and select “Turn Wifi on”.

Select your Network.

4. Safari > Preferences > Security > Privacy

Cookies and website data:

Click “Details” button.

Remove the cookie related to this, if there is one.

Hi guys.

Could this be a router virus?

because apart from my iMac, my iPad, my wife's windows mobile phone and my mother's android tablet also got infected by the same virus. Somehow my daughter's iPod and my iPhone were spared.

Also, when I surfed my iPad using the cellular data connection, the virus did not appear.

Also, now i surfed the same iPad at the different location using different wifi network, the problem did not occur.

Sumeer, did your problem occur while you were using the wifi or the cellular data connection?

the issue occurred on wifi but it didn't effected my wife ipad/iphone because we are using different apple Ids. Wherever i had my apple ID was sync the issue was there. i would recommend disabling safari sync on iCloud.

one more thing apple tech removed "com.apple.Safari.SafeBrowsing.binarycookies" this file from my laptop and rebooted the system.

This certainly sounds like a classic case of a hacked or infected router. See:

I tried everything including resetting the router.

The problem still persists! 😟 even in Google Chrome.

It's extremely frustrating. I cannot trace where this comes from. Still waiting for a solution.

I just temporarily blocked cookies from adultcameras.info (including images). That way if I leave my computer and it suddenly pops up, it won't have those nasty images.

Hi Sumeer. I found something. If you disable the JAVASCRIPT in the browser, you will not get this problem. All the adware / malware is being routed through Javascript. Now we have to find a solution to that because I couldn't even reply to this question without turning on the Javascript in the Safari preferences.

Now let us brainstorm on the Javascript.
