Home share problems

I have done all the basics, authorize the computers, turn on home share with same i.d. for both PCs, and have the latest version to the best of my knowledge. I have used home share in the past with both computers but for some reason neither of the two computers even show a "share" type option. I'm not sure if I'm not looking in the right place or what but the little house thing that I've seen in the past does not pop up.

There is definitely a bug in the new iTunes 12.1...
I had been using home sharing flawlessly until the update...

I've also done a bit of testing... I have a VM currently running Windows 10 Tech on my computer... Installed the new iTunes on there, enabled home sharing... it worked a little... would cut off after a little then I'd hit play and it would go for a little... came back to the VM later, thinking it must be something corrupt in my Windows installation... now the home share randomly works on the VM... at this moment though, can't get it to come back, but about 15 minutes ago it was there, but then just disappeared... my iPhone can see the library, just not any Windows iTunes installations... However, nothing has got my main Windows machine to see the library... reinstalled iTunes, walked through everything... nothing...

EDIT: -- FALSE ALARM... Guess it had something to do with my VM network connection... not too sure why it popped up as a problem now though... Could still be a bug, but is now at least an easy way to get the music... 🙂
